If you have endometriosis, you know how bad the monthly time can get with pain and heaviness. Cloth pads have greatly reduced both and are a ton more comfortable. I'll never go back. And I now toss mine in with towels too, and don't do anything special anymore lol. And if you hate stains, minky doesn't stain and is oh so soft! I haven’t touched a sposie pad in over 2 years. I highly recommend it for all the reasons that you mentioned. I also don't do anything special to mine. They get tossed in with the towels. It is there so the wetness from the prefold doesn't seep through the needle holes from sewing the hook and loop in the PUL.
